Commemoration Exhibition of Expo 2010 Shanghai

Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and organized by the World Expo Museum (WEM), the “Commemoration Exhibition of Expo 2010 Shanghai” (Short as “Commemoration Exhibition”) was held in the original Pavilion of Footprint inside the Expo Site in September 2011. With the display of more than 15,000 pictures, nearly 3,000 physical exhibits, and plenty videos and films, the Commemoration Exhibitionwas known as “A Mini World Expo”, with an aim to inherit Expo legacy, carry forward Expo spirit, sustain Expo essence, and arouse the good memories about World Expo of the public.

The Commemoration Exhibition was themed at “a successful, splendid and unforgettable event”. With a total exhibition area of 20,000sqm, and a display area of 12,000sqm, the Commemoration Exhibition was divided into outdoor areas and three floors, totally five exhibition spaces. Centered on 184 days of Expo Shanghai and the 5.28sqkm Expo Site, the Commemoration Exhibition emphasized the exhibition process of organizers of Expo 2010 Shanghai, the exhibition, activities and forums of 246 official exhibitors during the Expo period, and the positive significance of Expo Shanghai to human civilization and the development of China.
